SYVT Youth Activities Guide Now Available

Solvang, California – Santa Ynez Valley Transit (SYVT) launched its free Activities Guide highlighting 30 youth-friendly destinations in Buellton, Solvang, Santa Ynez, and Los Olivos along with corresponding SYVT bus stops on a fun and easy-to-read map.

“The Activities Guide provides residents with local ideas for kid-friendly entertainment all accessible via SYVT,” stated Matt van der Linden, Public Works Director/City Engineer for the City of Solvang. “This is a great compliment to the SYVT Summer Youth Pass (SYP) as it allows pass users to access everything our Valley has to offer on the safe and reliable SYVT bus.”

Santa Ynez Valley youth are encouraged to enjoy all of the locations on the Activities Guide with their twenty-dollar Summer Youth Pass, which provides unlimited rides during the month of purchase. The SYP is available to riders six to 20 years old for use in June, July, and August. The SYP can be purchased by parents or caregivers of young riders as well as middle school, high school, and college-aged youth at the SYVT Office located at 431 Second Street, Suite 9, in Solvang.

Highlighted destinations on the SYVT Activities Guide include parks, theaters, museums, farms, restaurants, and libraries. The Guide is available at the SYVT office, Stuart C. Gildred Family YMCA, Solvang Public Library, Santa Ynez Library, Solvang School District office, and Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground.

SYVT is funded through a Joint Powers Agreement by the cities of Buellton and Solvang and Santa Barbara County. The daily operation of SYVT is contracted to Roadrunner Management Services. For more information about SYVT, visit www.syvt.com or call the SYVT office at (805) 688-5452.
