Wastewater Supervisor's Statement

Welcome to the City of Solvang Wastewater Division. |

The Wastewater Treatment Plant is a Sequential Batch Reactor plant with a design capacity of 1.5 million gallons per day. The plant is currently receiving approx. 860,000 gallons per day of influent from the City of Solvang and Santa Ynez. Of this, Santa Ynez contributes approx. 210,000 gallons per day. The plant is staffed with four City employees, a Wastewater Supervisor and three Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators. The City has begun a source control program, which thus far has proven to be extremely effective in the preservation of both our collection system and treatment plant. The businesses within the City have been very cooperative in working with the wastewater division to accomplishing our goals.
