Special Announcements

The Public Works Department (Water Division) is implementing a new Toilet Rebate Program.  As part of the City of Solvang, Water Conservation Project, City water customers may be eligible to receive a 60% rebate, up to $120 through the City’s Ultra Low Flow Toilet (ULFT) Rebate Program.  The City’s ULFT Rebate Program will begin March 1, 2014, is offered on a first-come first-served basis, and is effective until funding is exhausted or by December 31, 2014.  We plan to make $10,000 available for this Rebate Program from March 1 through December 31, 2014.

Head Summer Camp Counselor

 

Under general supervision of the Solvang Recreation Coordinator, organizes and implements an inclusive and varied camp for children. Oversees and organizes subordinate camp counselors and has primary responsibility for the children’s safety and participation; Is committed to fulfilling all duties with ethical conduct, community stewardship, individual initiative, and responsive service; Demonstrates leadership, management and technical skills through effective collaboration using team resources, progressive decision making and personal responsibility; Demonstrates and fosters effective communication with other camp counselors, administrative and office staff, parents, and kids.

 

Candidates are required to complete a City Application Form and may attach a resume. The job description can be found here:
